Hanoch Piven is an Israeli artist who was born in Uruguay in 1963. He has been living in Barcelona for some years, but at this moment he's living in Israel.
He is famous for his celibrity caricatures, created as collages using common objects and materials, including stuff that might be associated with the subject (for example, tiny brains for a Stephen Hawking's portrait)
His caricatures appear in important newspapers and magazines all around the world: Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, The Times, ...

I suggest a new activity for you: a caricature in Piven style.
- Choose a celebrity you'd like to draw (politician, football player, film star, singer...). Try to be original, please!
- Look for a picture where you can see his/her face perfectly.
- Draw and colour your subject's shape in a cardboard.
- Think about the objects you will need. You can use buttons, string, wire, fabric, natural leaves, small toys... Don't use natural fruits, because they rot in a few days.
- Stick the objects in the caricature as if they were the eyes, mouth, nose, hair...
